9+, 10+, 12+ & 14+ Tutoring Service
Our tutors, all of whom are qualified teachers, have successfully prepared students for entry to top schools in London and across the UK. Our tutors have experience of preparing students outside of the “main” entry points (such as 11 Plus or 13 Plus) and can provide support for 9+, 10+, 12+ or 14+ and other “occasional place” entry points. We can provide group online tuition to students all over the world. Subjects covered might include English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning, and the Sciences along with interview preparation.
What does "Other School Entrance" mean?
The most common and popular entry points for independent school assessment are 7 plus, 11 plus and 13 plus (or Common Entrance Level). These are closely followed by 8 plus examinations and 16 plus entry tests for Sixth Forms at independent schools.
There are however, a number of alternative points, including 9 plus, 10 plus, 14 plus and other entries, including 5 plus.
Our tutors are UK qualified teachers and possess experience preparing students for these less common forms of assessment.
Are these entry points more difficult to pass?
All assessments, including the more common entry points, are designed to identify which students are performing at a higher level, compared with other entrants. They can therefore be challenging assessments and the less common entry points are no exception.
An additional consideration is that there are often fewer places available for successful applicants, therefore giving the impression the places are harder to secure. It should be acknowledged however, that there are many more applicants for the more traditional entry points, so chances can be seen as broadly the same.
